Okay this comes a bit late as this game was 2015's best game for PS4 (and in my opinion, one of the finest in the world in terms of dark, sublime horror with Lovecraftian elements thrown in for good measure as well). But this game changed a lot, and provided tremendous challenge to all those who dared play it - a definite success aimed to please all those Miyazaki fans and more. Cruel, ruthless, challenging, gore-drenched and unapologetically embracing the Old Ones (check out the hidden third ending) - it is a masterpiece that needs no other introduction by me. Irritating to die so many times (but after all, used to it after playing the Souls series), extremely satisfying when defeating the enormously challenging bosses... No, I still haven't finished it yet... and that, for me, is telling something...

This game instantly became one of my favorites of all time. I'm a big fan of the Dark Souls games and this one took me by surprise. Loved the Lovecraft feel and the overall atmosphere of the entire game. It was one hell of a challenge as well. I really wish they'd make a Bloodborne 2. I'd buy a PS5 in an instant just to play it (assuming it would remain a Playstation exclusive).
