A glorious moment

Sometime the best experience is entirely candid. I was sitting on my patio in the afternoon heat meditating (more on that another time), and I heard the children out front who always play there. One young sounding child, apparently missing a baseball catch or something (you cannot see from sitting back on the patio), stated: "it's not my fault I can't catch." I laughed at the comment and the innocence of it, but then a slightly older voice perked up. "What do you mean it's not YOUR fault that YOU can't catch?" To witness that simple moment of both mentoring and the beginnings of abstract reasoning was a great experience.
"You look up into the night sky - whether as a child or an adult - and if you open yourself honestly, then it is a gateway to mystery, to the unknown."
