Re: Discussion on Thelema: RHP or LHP?
If he pursues the will of his parents, he is following the RHP, following the will of others

This makes the LHP seem like a very Western ideology, which is probably the case anyhow. Many Eastern ideologies, such as Buddhism and Confucianism, seem to place the individual desire below that of the group.

There are those who do consider Setian philosophy and its interpretation of certain Magical principles like Thelema as "Western LHP".  I would tend to agree.

Re: Discussion on Thelema: RHP or LHP? Definitely LHP. I can see the argument there, that it is RHP, but in my opinion, a religion or philosophy does not have to strive to destroy social barriers via transgressive acts to qualify as Left Hand Path. The path isn't really about transgression as much as it is a quest for self improvement and a more self-centric form of Enlightenment.

Re: If materialism is true then logic cannot be objective. To put what you wrote into my own words, two mistakes people make in my opinion are:

A. The assumption that all phenomena in the universe must be physical in nature to exist. As the phenomena of self-awareness and consciousness are immeasurable, this is clearly not the case.

B. The assumption that all logic is invented, rather than discovered. This is also incorrect, because our understanding of logic is largely based on testing the validity of theories against that which is observable.

I am currently editing a book of mine for the Order. Unfortunately since I do not have permission to put this on the announcement thread.  I wanted to let many of you know that I am almost done with a book of mine called "The Satanic Doctrines," the book itself covers some of my secret beliefs that I have kept away from the public eye including those of my family.

I decided to write the book so other individuals who are curious of my beliefs may get a bit of a glimpse of it, another reason as I have explained to the three admins of the forum is to contribute it for the Order.

Currently I plan to Edit my book and to publish it here. :)

Re: How did you come upon the Left-Hand Path? Welcome, new members to the O.'S.'. forum!

I am bumping this up so new members to the forum may introduce themselves. We are interested in the Hidden Truths that each of you have the capacity to present. So tell us a bit about yourselves. How did you come across the site and the Left-Hand Path?

Re: Sneaking in... Introduction... Eh, I'm a lush, but tend towards the cheaper options. Feel free to make new threads about what interests you, we like to throw ideas around. Thanks for signing up.

Re: Sneaking in... Introduction... @Mindmaster Welcome, it has been a very long time seeing you. :)    I am not to terribly active on RF anymore, since so many Counter Productive Threads are quite tiresome.

Re: Sneaking in... Introduction... Yeah. LHP'ers have vigorous minds and thick skins to go along with them, so as the site owner I'm trying not to become too "rulesy" here. We keep a close eye on things and will step in if something gets too far out of hand.

Re: Sneaking in... Introduction... RF will forever be important to, well honestly, the very existence of the O.S. and this (hopefully superior) forum. That said, it's very sad what happened to that site. I honestly feel the worst trolls are the freaking admins there, without naming names.
