Re: The Serer religion @Frater Sisyphus by all means. It's a fascinating culture that has piqued my interest.

The use of Adinkra symbols by the Akan also lends itself as a form of symbolic language. It is this original Adinkra that later inspired the use of another set of Adinkra symbols in physics. When I think of the Feynman technique, I am somewhat astounded by the overlaps.

Re: Lore on Lilith (Demon Goddess/Wife of Satan) Great posts, everyone.

The story of Creation where we encompassed both genders is also described by one of the interlocutors in Plato's Symposium. He also ties it back to the concept of a soul mate. In that sense, matrimony is reserved for those halves that have found their other missing part of themselves and form a special bond or union to become complete once more.

Re: Wish List I would like to propose another book for the list of books in the library: A Sourcebook in Indian Philosophy by Radhakrishnan and Moore. It has been a book that I've owned twice over and each time, I ended up giving it to someone else as they found it resourceful for themselves. I'll have to get it for a third time.

It was the first book whence I familiarized myself with the six orthodox schools of thought in Hinduism (Nyaya-Vaisesika and Vedanta included) and the heterodox thoughts like Buddhism and Jainism. I don't have a PDF but here are some links that relate to the work:

Re: Ever curse somebody for a petty reason before? Although it's not how I'd describe baneful magick, I find it curious how you framed it as something that could be of benefit to the target and not just the caster. At any given time, I feel it best to abstain from my initial impulses and only execute actions after some careful consideration. There is a joke around here that we don't live in the city that we reside. Rather, in Pettyville because much of what is seen seems much ado about nothing or quite superficial. Even worse is that often we know it and map more meaning towards it.
