Re: CoS: "We're the only valid form of Satanism ever!" Satanic sins: Yeah, painting yourself into a corner is never a good thing. I guess Satanism really forms a strong part of some people's identity. I'd never want to limit myself like that though.

Re: sex magic with partners "Sex Magic" is a strange thing, it's kind of post-modernist in a way. Is is magic? or is it just bdsm?
Does "sex magic" actually manifest actual results? or just make oneself feel cool?  :)

Re: converting native tribes
Even now the force of extreme Islamic invasion is much more of a threat than some Bible thumping Conservatives. Islamists and Jihadism is more violent now than most Christian groups in the US.

Well, It's what you get though when a minority (Wahhabis/Salafis) tries to force a compulsory literalist reformation by force, onto itself and begins to build an empire against it's more orthodox and heterodox (in the esoteric and progressive sense) majority.

One of the possible contributors to Satanic heritage was the Knights Templar, who were crusaders, exposed to world religions and occult practices.

This is an interesting point that has come to mind. Regardless of whether the myths are true or not, with regards to the various things the Knights Templar have contributed (and have been adopted in) to occultism, they sure weren't a peaceful group of guys.
