Introduction - Blackwulf Hello, I signed on the forum a while back and I haven't posted anything so I thought I would get going with an introduction.  I am an Odinist and follower the Left Hand Path. I practice Seidr, Shamanism,  Galdr and a bit of Chaos Magic.  I am fairly well read on most of Dr. Aquino's, Dr. Flowers and Michael Kelly's works among others.  I have been into the occult off and on for over 25 years.  I didn't get serious until the last five.

I do believe in Gods and spirits and regularly work with them.

I am also a business owner/CPA, father and husband.

I hope to learn and share what I know with fellow followers of the LHP.

Re: The Symbol of the Serpent In Norse mythology there are various serpents/dragons.  You of course have the Midgard Serpent, son of Loki, but  there is also Fafnir and Nidhoggr.   Odin himself becomes a Serpent when he is trying to recover the Mead of Poetry/Inspiration from the giant Suttungr.  He basically tunnels through a mountain in that form to break into the giant's home.

Re: Discussion on Thelema: RHP or LHP? I definitely believe Crowley had aspects of the LHP by wanting to use transgression and setting himself up as the true prophet of his own religion.   The beauty of the Book of the Law is that Crowley himself could review it himself years later and gain more insight.  If you study Crowley's life there are times he was definitely more LHP and other RHP.  I think it is hard to define him as clearly either, and that is why he stands out.   I think he used what worked for him.

Re: Thursatru Gullveig is usually in most people's views Freyja.  I view though Gullveig is also Holda/Mother Holle.  Both are goddesses of the Mother/Maiden/Crone Variety.  Holda is also seen as a giantess and has a positive side, but also a negative and powerful side.  She is also closely related to the rune of Hagalaz.

I have worked with Michael Kelly's Aegishjalmur and the Draconian current goes well with working with Frost Giants.  I do a good bit of shamanistic work as well and travel the 9 worlds.    I don't work with Loki, though I know I have had his attention.  I work with Odin, but I have made contact with Frost Giants while journeying.

Re: Thursatru I understand your point about Freyja and Frigg, I see it that way too, there is too much there.   The question I have though is why the Aesir/Vane war over Gullveig if she isn't technically a Vane but is more of a giant, unless she is a Vane and the reason Loki is blood brothers with Odin is they both married Vanes.

Marija Gimbutas was a lady that did a lot work with Joseph Campbell but focused primarily on the goddesses of Europe.

Re: Would anyone want to work on Runes with me? I have worked through the Nine Doors of Midgard and with most of Aegishjalmur.  You should also look at adding Taking up the Runes by Diana Paxson.  It is a decent book too, but if you use all the others you are fine, but is just another perspective.
Look at Northern Runes Radio podcast, it was run by Daniel Updike, Wodenson.  He is a LHP guy and has created the Damned Podcast.

Runic meditation is what the Nine Doors wants you to do. I personally have found Mantra meditation works more for me with studying the runes too.  It improved my Galdr.

Re: King Mob- Journal II Congratulations on the admission to Dragon Rouge and becoming a moderator.  I have read and worked with the Uthark.  I have gotten a copy of Gullveigarbok, very interesting so far and I can understand the source points on most of it, but I am not going to comment more on it until I have finished it and digested it a bit.
